Remote Teaching and Learning: Home

A guide for finding, accessing, and using resources for remote learning and teaching.

Journals

You can search for journals, seeing which we have full-text access to and dates covered, through EDS Journals. You will need to login (see Off-Campus Access) for instructions.

Accessing Crossett Materials

For Research Assistance: Email library@bennington.edu to request information or to schedule an appointment with a librarian.

For eBooks: Search the catalog using the "OneSearch" box on the library's main page. If you are off campus you will be prompted for your name and password. On the search results page you will see on the left side of the screen a heading "Source Types", if you click "show more" a box will open up. Select "eBooks" to limit the results to only show eBooks.

For Course Research Guides: Email library@bennington.edu to request a research guide for your course highlighting resources your student can access online.

Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan can be used to receive remote PDFs or articles and chapters. Please note, interlibrary Loan services may experience a slowdown in delivery as colleges close as a preventive measure. Email questions can be sent to Kathy Williams - kathyw@bennington.edu

Interlibrary loan items have all been renewed. When you complete your research or at the end of term, whichever comes first, please ship the books back to Crossett Library. Questions can be directed to Kathy Williams.

I have books checked out. Do I need to send them back if I'm still using them? All books currently checked out will be renewed through our system ASAP. Students graduating at the end of term should ship their books back to campus when they're done. Students and faculty returning in the fall can bring their books back when they return to campus.
