Neo-Marxism combines Max Weber's notions of social inequality, status, prestige and power, with Marxist philosophy, which concentrates on a simple economic class conflict between the workers and the capitalists. Orthodox ideologists argue that a reformation of Marxism is impossible, yet a new movement for social equality has taken root, Neo-Marxism. The difference between the two, some argue, is the notion of materialism and economy for the traditional Marxists and cultural issues for non-orthodox, or neo-Marxists.
